About the position:
Acumatica is looking for a Technical Product Manager with a background in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) services industry with proven experience in product management delivering B2B SaaS solutions to market.  This exciting leadership position will play a key role in delivering the Acumatica Professional Services Edition and Acumatica Construction Edition by fully understanding the market and customer needs and translating them into requirements that our development teams and partners can create solutions for.
Working with closely with engineering, this role will understand how technologies are applied in building complex, world-class business solution that helps customers to automate core workflows such as job costing, resource management, invoicing, metric tracking, and controls across broad business processes.
The Technical Product Manager will partner with product management and development leaders and will be responsible for creating, managing, and delivering the product roadmap that achieves the overall product strategy and vision for the business working with Acumatica customers, support, sales, developers, and external ISVs. After speaking with stakeholders, the Product Manager will prepare requirements documents to inform developers of changes.
What the job entails:
  • Collaborate closely with product leadership to align roadmap to business goals, product vision and strategy.
  • Define and prioritize product requirements to maximize return, balancing customer needs with business priorities.
  • Manage product backlog and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Lead quarterly product planning that clearly articulates themes, priorities and expected outcomes.
  • Translate technical details into benefits for the user and effectively communicate these to all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering on new and/or existing feature design, providing detailed requirements for user experience, business workflow and reporting ensuring desired outcome for our customers.  
  • Gain knowledge of customers/users and validate solutions by managing focus groups, community engagement, user groups, and advisory boards.
  • Lead user testing and feedback sessions to validate product concepts and improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide product training and support to internal teams and key customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and prepare internal stakeholders, partners and customers for new product and feature releases to include; testing, training, documentation, early adopter and beta programs.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Become the Acumatica Construction Edition and Acumatica Professional Services Edition subject matter expert.
  • Resolve escalations from the support, customer success, and implementation teams.
  • Work with support to identify knowledgebase topics and assist with writing articles.
  • Work with support to tackle critical product gaps and work with the engineering team to provide timely solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a technical field.
  • Strong understanding of software development and web technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic Business English is required for this role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Familiarity with agile/scrum/waterfall development methodologies.
