 The Vice President of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has a deep understanding of AI & ML technologies how those apply to Acumatica business both internally and for our partners and customers. This role will drive AI’s strategy impacting organizational transformation through AI adoption. This role reports to the CTO.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Actuate and present comprehensive ML & AI strategy proposals to company leadership, articulating the value, potential impact, and roadmap for implementation. The result should be a clear cross-company path to strategy, tactics, activities, timeline, budget, ownership, and impact.
  • Define and drive company-wide AI governance, policies, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure the translation of AI strategies into detailed specifications and actionable roadmaps with measurable impact.
  • Manage a team of AI professionals, setting clear goals, and leading the team to achieve breakthrough results in the development and deployment of AI-driven solutions.
  • Regularly report to the executive team and key stakeholders on actionable AI initiatives, providing insights into progress, timelines, and expected returns.
  • Conduct market analysis to stay on top of ML & AI trends and competitors, leveraging insights to guide strategic decisions.
  • Drive partnerships and collaborations that enhance Acumatica's AI capabilities and market positioning.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields). An advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading enterprise machine learning or AI teams, preferably within a SaaS or cloud computing environment.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful ML & AI solutions in a business context.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to translate complex ML & AI concepts into actionable business items.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience in nurturing talent and guiding teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Understanding of the SaaS business model, market dynamics, and how ML& AI can be leveraged to create competitive advantages.
* Experience in partnerships, mergers & acquisitions, particularly in the ML & AI domain, is a plus.

For this role, the salary range is $225,000-$275,000 annually. This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job and may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant elements.
At Acumatica, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
